Our Work
New Jersey has become a leader in key climate change and clean energy policy and program arenas - but there is much more to do. Below are examples of some of the work done by CCANJ and its members.
Sign-on Letters
In 2021 (and again in 2022), CCANJ was particularly focused on greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation sector - the largest contributor overall (37%) to New Jersey's carbon pollution emissions. In talking with our coalition partners, it was clear that state government needed to prioritize high impact initiatives and ideas in this area. In both years, we composed letters signed by hundreds of NJ health professionals laying out a series of steps that needed to be taken. We are pleased to note that some of these ideas have been adopted, while work continues on others. To read the letters, click on the 2021 letter and the 2022 letter.
